Vintage Pipistrello lamp designed in 1965 by Gae Aulenti for Martinelli Luce. It is now a design icon.
The retro lamp Pipistrello is now part of the permanent collection of world famous museums, such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
The design inspiration for the organic shape of the hood comes from a wing of a bat. The Pipistrelli lamp for sale looks good in any interior, as a floor lamp, standing lamp or table lamp, on or off. Timeless design.
This Pipistrello lamp second hand is about 40 years old and is in a beautiful vintage condition. It has a dent in the base and a small hole in the lower part of the hood (almost invisible). This is about the large version. Due to the telescopic system in the base, the lamp is adjustable in height from 66 to 86 centimeters.
